Arnold Cemetery: The name of the cemetery has been verified by Billy Edmonds @ Koontz Funeral Home in Hamlin, WV. At present, 7/2008, there is no sign to identify the cemetery.
Cemetery access: South from West Hamlin on Rte. 10 make a left turn at Ranger Bridge(there are two signs; Ranger Elementary School and Aaron Community Church) go across the bridge and railroad tracks then
Turn right onto Guyan River RD. Go 6.7 miles then
Turn left onto Hamilton Creek Rd. there was no sign but you could clearly see the road on the left. Go 2.5 miles and you'll come to the Hamilton Creek Chruch (on the right) and next to it is an original dilapidated single story
house & outbuilding. Almost immediately after passing the church & house;
Turn left. In the present time, 7/2008, there is a old barn at the right corner of the road and an occupied house on the left side of the road. Go .9 miles continuing to veer to the right as you pass multiple ATV trails you will come to the top of the hill and there is the cemetery. We found and photographed many graves but, there are many that we didn't photograph. Later stages of access is very rough eroded dirt & gravel and you'll need a Jeep or 4 wheel drive vehicle. For memorial day week I'm told the road is graded and in much better condition if no heavy rains occur causing washouts.See bio for Fernandas Nelson, brother buried in this cemeter, for other Louise Collins parents and sibling information.8/1/08 Norm Nelson.
