Elizabeth A. Felt -- Austin

AUSTIN -- A memorial service for Elizabeth A. Felt will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin.

Mrs. Felt, 73, of Austin, died Saturday (July 26, 2008) at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.

Elizabeth Mewhorter was born Dec. 24, 1934, in Rochester. After growing up in Rochester, she moved to Seattle, where she graduated from high school. She then returned to Rochester and married Keith D. Felt on Dec. 31, 1955. The couple moved to Austin in 1956.

Mrs. Felt was a homemaker and volunteer at Victims Crisis Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Austin and loved camping and collecting various things such as stamps and spoons. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her special grandson, Arnold.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Michael (Leila) of Forney, Texas; a daughter, Michelle (Dennis) Guttormson of Austin; a brother, Marvin (Bev) Mewhorter of Tucson, Ariz.; and a sister, Helen (LaVern) Moe of Rochester. Other survivors include grandchildren, Angela, Daniel, Kasey, John and Jitauna; two great-grandchildren, Jon and Oliver; her in-laws, Ron and Shirley Felt of Albert Lea and Pat and Chuck Nelson of Park Rapids, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin A. and Agnes L. (Larson) Mewhorter.

Friends may call an hour before the service at Worlein Funeral Home.

Memorials are preferred to First United Methodist Church.
