Pfc. Robert G. Dixon was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Dixon, 221 Lutie Street. Born in Nashville, he had attended Turner School. He was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church. Pfc. Dixon, a carpenter, had been in the National Guard about two years. Besides his parents, survivors include two brothers, Earl H. Dixon and Cleveland B. Dixon; and three sisters, Patsy Leona Dixon, Peggy Jo Dixon, and Mrs, Margaret Lorene Parson, all of Nashville.
