Clyde was the son of Theophilus Lycurgus Hargrove & Permelia F. Hardin. He married Eva M. Pascoe in 1916 and they had three children.

Clyde C. Hargrove Is Dead Here at 60
Clyde C. Hargrove, a Miami resident for many years, died at 11:25 o'clock this morning at Miami Baptist hospital. The retired painter-contractor was 60 years old.
Surviving are his wife, Eva, of the home, at 827 H. street northwest; two sons, Lee and Ray Hargrove, five grandchildren and a brother, Mack Hargrove, all of Miami.
The body was received by the Cooper Funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Cooper Funeral home for Clyde C. Hargrove, a longtime Miami resident who succumbed Tuesday. The Ref. Littleton Fowler, pastor of the First Methodist church, will officiate.
Burial will be in GAR cemetery. Listed as pallbearers are Charles Wilson, Ralph Harnar, Gene Wyrick, J.R. Bouggous, E.B. Mott and A.F. Groeneman.
