Mrs. Mary E. Thompson, 81 years old, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at the home of her daugher, Mrs. H.O. (Florence) Harman, Folkerth Road, Greenville, Route1. Mrs. Thompson, the widow of the late Ervin Thompson, a Jackson township farmer, had been in failing health for about a year.
Mrs. Thompson, a native of Mississinawa township, had lived in Darke County and Greenville all her life. She was a member of the Rose Hill Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Suvivors include one son , Howard Thompson, Fort Recovery, Route 3; two daughters, Mrs. Harman, Greenville, Route 1, and Mrs. Myrtle Miller, Ithaca; two brothers, John Whitacre, Salamonia, and Wesley Whitacre, Fort McKinley, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Emma Isenbarger, Butler, Ind.; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment Greenville cemetery.
