Mrs. Sarah Elvira Brisendine, 79, of Clendenin Rt. 1, died yesterday in a Charleston hospital afer a short illness.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Ollie Hunt of Sheffield, Ala., Mrs. Bessie Hunt of Shepherd, Mich., Mrs. Nellie Amos of Ocean City, N.J, Mrs. Gracie Phillips of Gandeeville, Mrs. Betty Wayne and Mrs. Mary Foreman of Walton; two sons, Marvin of Lost City and Albert of Walton; a sister, Mrs. Clara Allen of Charleston; a brother, Asa Harper of Elkview; 31 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mount Welcome Union Church at Walton by the Rev. E.L. Huffman. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery on Long Ridge. The body is at the Albert Myers and Son Funeral Home at Elkview.
