On May 25, 1884, in Parker County, Texas, Dee married John Lewis Seago, born in Mississippi (1857-1925). John was a son of Joel Seago (1812-1880), born in North Carolina, and Martha Hayes (1821-1900), born in South Carolina.
John and Dee settled in Weatherford, Parker, Texas, where john was a wagon yard proprietor. They had two children: Lula Pearl Seago-Sims (1886-1962), and Jesse Augustine Seago (1892-1978), both born in Texas.
Dee died on Dec 27, 1943 in Weatherford. She and her husband are both buried in Oakland Cemetery.
