From the Sullivan Daily Times May 4, 1916,

Hon. John C. Chaney and Han. and Mrs. John T. Hays attended the funeral of Harry Thompson who died at the residence of Judge D. W. Henry in Terre (Haute at 6:10 o'clock Tuesday morning from erysipelas, following nearly a three years' illness

The funeral was held at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the residence of his sister, Mrs. D. W. Henry, 1140 South Sixth street.

The services were conducted by the Rev. John E. Sulger, pastor of the St. Stephens Episcopal church. The burial was in the Thompson lot in Highland cemetery.
