Viola G. Tester Ward, 94, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at the residence. She was born May 15, 1909 in Watauga County to Charles and Jane Farthing Tester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Zane Ward and Gary Ward; one daughter, Rebecca Ward Huffman; two grandsons, Randy Ward and Nathan Ward; one brother, Grady Tester, and four sisters, Maude Ward, Edna Vines, Ivalee Harmon and Jessie Mae Harmon. Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and foster mother. She was a member of Hartland Baptist Church.
