Nannie was the third of ten children born to Augustus Pointdexter and Henrietta Elmira 'Etta' (Misenheimer) Moose. She married Marshall Parker Russell in 1903 and they had nine children: Hubert Clarence, Lela Odessa, Nora Beatrice, Annie 'Ruth', Ernest Parker, Mary 'Elma', William Augustus, Josie Mae and Herman Nathaniel.

MRS. NANNIE M. RUSSELL

ABERDEEN - Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Moose Russell, 79, who died Sunday in Charlotte will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in the Roseland community. Officiating will be the Rev. A. C. Haliburton, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was with her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Helms of Charlotte at the time of her death. She was a native of Stanly County and the widow of Marshall P. Russell of Jackson Springs. She lived for 41 years in the Roseland Community, for 60 years retaining membership in the First Lutheran Church of Albemarle. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Helms, Mrs. E. H. Lowder and Lela Russell, all of Charlotte, Mrs. E. R. Thomas of Farmville and Ruth Russell of Albemarle; 22 grandchildren; four sisters, Effie and Donor, Moose, both of Charlotte, and Mrs. J. P. Crawley and Mrs. Harvey Cox, both of Albemarle; one brother, A. Paul Moose of Albemarle.
