Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps
He served for a short time during WWII and then enlisted again in 1949. He also served in Korea. He was serving at the Alberta Military Hospital at Camp Wainwright when he was killed in a car accident.

He was the son of John (Jack) and Jessie (Fowlis) Tenklei of Regina. His brother Warrant Officer Class II Edward Stanley Tenklei was a casualty of WWII and is buried at Holten Canadian War Cemetery in the Netherlands.
