Oscar Thomas Scott III died at his home on Thursday, May 4, 1995. Oscar was born August 19, 1921 in Addington. His parents were Oscar T. Scott Jr. and LaZora Joy Brandon Scott. He married Mildred Louise Lively on March 9, 1941 in Waurika.
Oscar was a cattleman, an independent oil operator and repairman for Montgomery Wards, retiring in 1982. He and Mildred moved to Duncan from Waco in 1985. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred of the home; a son, Oscar T. Scott IV and wife, Joyce Scott of Marietta, Georgia; a daughter, Tommie Louise McSorely and husband, Keith, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana; two sisters, Helen Wallace of Arlington, Texas and Betty Martin of Marion, Iowa; four grandchildren, Scott McSorley, Mike McSorley, Terri Pepper and Kristi Allen and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Eric Stenzel, Preston Gatgewood, Rodney Engle, Tom Lane, Phillip Feitz and Larry Hall.
