Born in Kansas City, MO, graduated from high schooll in KC, served US Marine, as a pilot in WWII. Employed US Post Office several years, then became a flight comptroller at Joliet, ILL. Later moved to Salina, KS where he worked flight operations. On May 11,1996 he married Dee McCune. He was a member of Manhatten and Salina Church of Christ, the Kiwanis, VFW. Survivors include wife Dee of the home, Tom Wright of Topeka and Randy Wright of Alburquerque, NM, stepson Craig Haldeman of Manhatten; step-daughter Judy Boyles of Abilene, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services July 2, 2008 at Danner Funeral Home, with interment to follow at the Henry Cemetary North of Abilene.
