Martha Jane Mitchem was the oldest child born to William M. Mitchem and Margaret "Susan" Huffstetler Mitchem. She had a daughter Emma Jane born in 1883. On May 8, 1892, she married Emmanuel Mauney. She and Emmanuel had no children.
