William Joseph St Clair was born in Bonsack Roanoke County Virginia. He was the first child of William Howard St Clair and wife Mary Missouri McClung. He was married and divorced between 1900 and 1910. He married Tempa Campbell in 1910 and had two daughters and two sons, one son dying in infancy. All are buried in Stow Cemetery. There is no monument over his gravesite.
