Laura Belle Short, 93, a former Bloomington resident, more recently of Augusta Ga., died at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta Ga. she had been ill for two weeks.
Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at east lawn Cemetery, the Rev. Joseph C. Cronenberg officiating. burial will follow at the cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Kibler-Smith Memorial Home.
Mrs. Short was born March 11, 1985 at Indiana, a daughter of Solomon and Melinda (Hayes) Manuel.
She married Fred E. Short April 3, 1907. He died April 14, 1969.
Surviving are five sons, Clinton,Leslie and Clifford of Bloomington, Delmar of Gilman and Stanley of Augusta Ga. one sister, 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two children, Kenneth and Maxine Short.
Mrs. Short was affiliated with the Christian Church.
