A funeral for Mrs. Herman Smith, 86, will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Laughlin-Service Chapel with Dr. Alvin Hopson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, a resident of 609 Ward Ave., Huntsville, died Thursday in Birmingham following a five-week illness. She was visiting a daughter when she became ill.
The body will remain at the funeral home until time of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Harris of Birmingham and Mrs. Harold Weatherly of Pierre, S. D.; three sisters, Mrs. R. L. Whitaker of Fayetteville, Tenn., Miss Kate Sharp and Mrs. E. W. Teague, both of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.
