Funeral services for John Alexander Simmons, 71, will be held at 2:30 this afternoon from the West Huntsville Baptist church with the Rev. J. Vernon Rich officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery with Laughlin-Service funeral home directing.
Mr. Simmons died at his home, 1202 Tenth avenue, West, at 9:15 a.m. Friday.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anne Simmons; four daughters, Mrs. Lena Whitt, Mrs. Gussie Stewart, Mrs. Bonnie Worley and Mrs. Lonnie Bennett; three sons, Carl Simmons, Roanoke, N. C., Ronny Simmons, Huntsville. and Roy Simmons, Hazel Green; and one sister, Mrs. Belle Travis of Monrovia.
Active pallbearers will be Johnny Worley, Sam Perkins, Buster Robinson, J. C. Whitt, Monroe Cluntch and Albert Taylor.
