Born in Biccari, Foggia Province, Italy. Immigrated to U.S in 1908 and lived in the Holmesburg, Mayfair and Holme Circle areas of Philadelphia. Youngest of 10 children of Filippantonio "Phil" D'Imperio & Maria Giovanna "Mary Jane" Ciccone. Worked as a spinner in a Philadelphia woolen mill before marrying Pasquale Aquilino, in a double ceremony with her brother Michele "Mike" D'Imperio and Pasquale's cousin Assunta Aquilino.
