Helen A. Calandrelli, 84, of Parkersburg, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2008.

She was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Spencer Weaver and Sarah A. (Smith) Weaver. Helen was a past royal matron of the Order of Amaranth.

Surviving are her two children, Sonja L. Waldron of Parkersburg and Terry R. Calandrelli and his wife, Charlotte, of Arcanum, Ohio; sister, Lois M. Atkinson of Belpre; four grandchildren, Shona R. McDermott and her husband, Michael, of Vienna, Shelly L. Willis and her husband, Mark, of Columbus, Ohio, Misty Dawn Thomason and her husband, Gary, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Sarah L. Calandrelli of Arcanum, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Travis and Heather McDermott of Kennesaw, Ga., Nathan McDermott, Chelsea McDermott and Ashley McDermott of Vienna, Brooke Fuller and Joey Fuller of Columbus, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, David Calandrelli; sister, Freda M. Clutter; and brother, Earl Smith.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Ed Beatty officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Morgantown, W.Va. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
