Born Jan. 9, 1918, in Tippecanoe County, he graduated from Montmorenci High School in 1937.
His first marriage was to Kathryn L. Rooze. She died in November 1996. On April 18, 1998, he married Mary K. Kerker, and she survives.
Mr. Sigman was an iron workers superintendent out of Local 25 in Michigan. He had been a member of the local for more than 70 years.
He was a member of Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Purdue Alumni Association, John Purdue Club, Gridiron Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154, American Legion Post 11 and Shelby Township Historical Association and a veteran of World War II.
He enjoyed Purdue football, basketball, golfing and traveling and was a fan of the Chicago Bears and White Sox. He enjoyed time with his family.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Francis L. Sigman (wife: Barbara) of Seattle, Paul L. Sigman (wife: Virginia) of Incline Village, Nev., and Robert J. Sigman (wife: Cheryl) of Grapeview, Wash.; and a brother, Donald Sigman (wife: Velma) of Lafayette.
Surviving are grandchildren, Rose, Julie, John, Donna, Shiela, Tina, Tami, Scott, Jeff and Darrell, and 4 great-grandchildren.
