Ardythe Vraniak, age 77, a resident of the Town of Scott, died on Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Indianhead Medical Center in Shell Lake, WI. Ardythe Joy Folt was born on February 3, 1928 at Spooner, WI to George and Dorothy (Bitzer) Folt. She graduated from Spooner High School in 1946. She worked at the Red Cross Pharmacy where she met her husband, Jerry. Ardythe and Jerry were married on April 24, 1948 at Solon Springs, WI. The couple moved to Missouri for 2 years returning to the area and residing near Lampson for 18 years. The remaining years were spent owning and operating the Big McKenzie Lighthouse Lodge Resort. Ardythe is survived by her husband, Jerome of Spooner, WI; children, Terrance Michael (Marilyn) Vraniak of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jerome Joseph Vraniak II of Spooner, WI, and Barbara Ann (Charles) Turpin of Springbrook, WI; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a brother, George Folt of Edina, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, George Michael Vraniak in 1974. A Memorial Service for Ardythe Vraniak will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner with Pastor Marty Nolet officiating. Visitation is from 10 - 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral Home. Interment will be at the Spooner Cemetery next to her son George Michael Vraniak. "
