Helen M. Abbott, 83, of New England, WV died November 20, 2005 at the Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born June 4, 1922 in Wood County a daughter of the late Cecil and Freda Johnson Wright.
She was a homemaker and member of the New England Baptist Church where she served in the American Baptist Women and as a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her daughter Delores Gessel and husband Roger of New England; son Doug Abbott and wife Sharon of New England; three grandchildren Kevin Gessel and wife Denise, Bob Gessel and wife Debbie, Andrea Abbott; three great grandsons Michael, Alan, and Hunter Gessel and one brother William Wright of Belleville, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Abbott in 2001; brother Robert Wright; two sisters Beatrice Wilson and Lena Parsons and one granddaughter Michelle Abbott.
Services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg with Reverend Roger G. Johnson and Reverend Connie Sue Johnson officiating.Burial will follow at New England Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-8 pm at the funeral home.
