McCORMICK -- Tobra Ann "Toby" Gable, 38, resident of 520 Petigru Circle, died peacefully Thursday, June 5, 2008 surrounded by her family at her home.

Born in Greenwood, a daughter of George Marion and Connie Pettigrew Gable, she was formerly a paralegal with Mullins Law Firm in North Myrtle Beach for fifteen years. She was a very loving and giving person and was adored by all of her family and friends. A great mother to her eight-year-old son, for whom she fought a valiant battle with her illness, Toby was an amazing daughter to her parents and the perfect sister to Hope. She was a member of Plum Branch Baptist Church and had attended First Baptist Church of McCormick.

Surviving in addition to her parents of McCormick are a son, Gabriel "Gabe" Kay of the home; sister, Hope Gable Grimmett and husband, Chandler; nephews, Parker Grimmett and Bailey Grimmett; and niece, Sarah Grace Grimmett, all of James Island. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Overbrook Cemetery, with Reverend John Noblin officiating.

The family is at the home, 520 Petigru Circle and will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blyth Funeral Home.
