Leo was born in Woonsocket, R.I., the first of six children born to Louis H. Marin and Eugenie M.(Berube) Marin. He grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and on Aug 21, 1933, he married Cecile Eva Bergeron in Leominster, Massachusetts. Leo and Cecile made their home in Whitinsville, Massachusetts and had six sons. He worked as a machinist in The Whitinsville Spinning Ring Co. for over 40 years and retired in 1976. Leo's wife Cecile died in 1973 after a long illness.
On May 1,1976, Leo married Edna M. (Saunders) Roukema, a long time family friend.
Leo was an avid pool player and served as treasurer of the Northbridge Senior Citzens pool league. He was a member of the Whitinsville Fish and Game Club and the North Uxbridge Progressive Club.
Leo died at the age of 88 after a short illness.
