Musician. Born in Hammersmith, West London, he was a veteran drummer who played with the biggest names on the UK rock and blues scene in the 1960s and 70s. He was the sticksman of choice for the Rolling Stones, the Jeff Beck Group, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Eric Clapton, the Walker Brothers and many more. He was also a much in demand session musician, playing on records for Dusty Springfield, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix and was involved in the rock musical "Hair" in 1968. In the mid-1980s, he continued to do studio work, played in the Tex- Mex accordion band with Flaco Jimenez and with his own group, the Mickey Waller Band. He died of cancer.
