Corum Rites Will Be Held
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Smyrna church for George T. Corum, 73, prominent Hillsboro resident, who died Monday at a Tuscaloosa hospital after undergoing an operation.
E.E. Byars will conduct the services while Highsmith of Moulton will direct burial.
The deceased is survived by the widow; five sons, Sheriff Ben Corum; and Tom Corum, Moulton; Buford and John Corum, Hillsboro; Hobson Corum, Sheffield; five daughters, Mrs. E.M. Veitch, Bessemer; Mrs. Louise Hill, Empire; Mrs. Estella Terry, Hillsboro; Mrs. Bessie Lou Wells, Decatur; Mrs. Hazel Peebles, Hillsboro; 25 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Berryhill and Mrs. Ida McKelvey, both of Bessemer.
Pallbearers will be Tennis Bass, Bill Landers, Floyd Turner, Jack Thompson, Fred Darnell and Herman Harris.
Mr. Corum was a member of the Church of Christ.
