Henry J. Pierce, 78, of Leitchfield, passed away March 11, 1985 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. / Born June 9, 1906 in Grayson County, he was the son of Charles A. Pierce and Elizabeth Horrell and the husband of Christina Rogers Pierce. / Survivors include his wife, Christina Pierce; five sons, Carl Pierce of Concord, North Carolina, John, George, Donnie and Raymond Pierce all of Louisville; three daughters, Barbara Aubrey of Big Clifty, Janet White of Louisville and Alma Embry of Caneyville; one sister, Georgia Clasby of Louisville; and two brothers, Edmund Pierce of Pennsylvania and Hugh Pierce of Indianola, Iowa. Fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. / Funeral services were held March 14, 1985 at St. Paul Church under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home with interment in the St. Paul Cemetery. Rev. Tony Stevenson officiated.
