Jackie C. Smith, 39, of Sale Creek, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at his home. He was born Dec. 16, 1963, in Dayton, the son of Jackie R. and Sue (Poe) Smith. He was a graduate of Sale Creek High School and was a diesel mechanic. He attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie R. Smith. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Smith; daughters, Staci, Amber and Lora Smith, all of Sale Creek; mother, Sue Smith, Sale Creek; brother, Jeff Smith, Sale Creek; sister, Karen Alley, Lawrenceburg. Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home, the Revs. Emory Lane and David Cunningham officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Vanderwall Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
