JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Joseph Gass Anderson, 91, of Jacksonville, formerly of Des Moines, died of a heart ailment Saturday at Humana Hospital in Orange Park, Fla. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Canfield Cemetery near Ivy.
Mr. Anderson was born in Runnells and lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Florida 1 1/2 years ago. He retired as a baker for food stores
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Miller of Orange Park, Maxine McDuff of Des Moines and Jean Porcase of Jacksonville; a son, Clyde of Chillicothe, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home.
