Richard J. Eutsler
Graveside services for Richard J. Eutsler, 77, were held Thursday, Arpil 17, 2008, at Upton Greenwood Cemetery with Bert Sutherland officiating.
Burial followed services at Greenwood Cemetery.
He died unexpectedly April 14, 2008, at his home in Osage.
He was born Nov. 26, 1930, on the family homestead on Little Lightning Creek North of Manville, the son of Joe and Hazel (Meeker) Eutsler. He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 1950 to Oct. 1952, serving in Korea.
On April 25, 1953, in Rapid City, S. D., he married Maxine Cole of Lusk.
He worked in the oil field in some capacity or another all of his life, most of that in Weston County.
He was an avid bowler and hunter. He served on the Osage Sewer Board, Water Board, and Dump board until his death.
He was a member of the Osage volunteer Fire Department until health problems prohibited that.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine, daughter, Judy Lashmett of Osage and Sally Singleton of Gillette, and son, Joe Eutsler of Gillette; brothers, Jim Eutsler of Osage, Ted Eutsler of Buffalo, and Bob Eutsler of Semi Valley, Calif.; sisters, Billie Arnold of Torrington, and Betty Truman of Portland, Ore., nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Thomas, brothers, Charles Eutsler, Tom Eutsler; and sisters Orabelle Martin, Bertha Sipes, Pat Trout and Mary Deuel.
The family asks that memorial contributions be given to the Osage Ambulance Srvice in his memory.
Worden Funeral Dirctors of Newcastle are in charge of the arrangements.
