Reverend Jesse Rogers was born on 26 October 1792, in Duplin Co., North Carolina. He was the son of Reuben Rogers and Christiana Alderman. He married Mary Coggins about 1818, in Duplin Co., North Carolina. Mary was born on 16 October 1792 in Sampson Co., NC and died 2 February 1871 in Dawson, Terrell Co., Georgia. Jessie and Mary were the parents of nine children. Jessie married 2nd on 1 April 1874 in Terrell Co., Georgia to widow Sarah E. (Keel) Hardin. She was born in 1825 in Georgia and died in 1896 in Dawson, Terrell Co. Georgia. He died on 26 February 1885, in Dawson, Terrell Co., Georgia, at the age of 92, and was buried in Dawson, Terrell Co., Georgia. He served in the War of 1812.
