Irene Doris Plumley, 72, of Bostwick, died Monday, June 26, 2000 at Orange Park Medical Center.
A native of Schodack, New York, she had resided in Bostwick for the past six years coming from West Lebanon, New York. She was a homemaker and for the past five years lived each day to take care of her triplet grandsons with whom she lived. She was currently a member of Bostwick Baptist Church and while living in New York was a member of the Sand Lake Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Jerry Michael Plumley, Daniel Andrew Plumley and Martin Edward Plumley; one daughter, Michele Plumley.
She is survived by three sons, William "Bill" Plumley of Bostwick, John Plumley of Bentleyville, Pennsylvania, and Michael "Mike" Plumley of Mora, Minnesota; two daughters, Arlowiene "Arlie" Petrone of West Sand Lake, New York and Lelia Fernett of Nassau, New York; a brother, Floyd Townsend of Jacksonville; Christina Covely of Coos Bay, Oregon; twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bostwick Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in Bostwick Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home of Palatka. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 28 Jun 2000.)
