Dorothy L. Davis, 66, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001 at Royal Care Nursing Home in Ridgely.
She was retired head of promotions for the Chicago Bulls and a member of Glendale Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Brother Dustin Forthun officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.
Survivors include a son, Mike Davis of Downer's Grove, Ill.; two sisters, Doris Fitz of Waynesboro and Kay Robbins of Newbern; four brothers, Billy Joe Barker of Byron, Ill., Junior Davidson of Hayti, Mo., James Jodison of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and J.C. Sanford of Dyersburg; and a grandson, Ryan Michael Davis of Downer's Grove, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jay Davis; her parents, Joe and Lois Sanford Barker; and two brothers, Leonard Sanford and Earl Sanford.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Robbins, Jeffrey Clanton, Jerry Canada Jr., Rodney Tipps, Mike Davis and Clayton Carter.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society.

John C. Sanford, 79, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a business owner.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Dyersburg City Cemetery with Brother Torin Brooks officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sanford, the widower of Bernice Sanford, leaves two daughters, Mary Jane Thompson and Barbara Sanford, both of Dyer; three sons, John David Sanford of Memphis, and Terry Sanford and Johnny Sanford, both of Zion, Ill.; two half-brothers, James Jodison of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Junior Davidson of Hayti, Mo., four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife; his parents, Evans and Annie Smith Sandford.

Mrs. Sanford, the widow of Earl Herbert Sanford, leaves two daughters, Glenda Larrick of Canton, Mich., and Eva Joslin of Dyersburg; two sons, Joe Sanford of Benton, Ill., and James Sanford of Dyersburg; two brothers, Lloyd Owens of Plymouth, Mich., and Lawrence Owens of Lebanon, Mo., nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband; her parents, Fonzo and Minnie Owens; and seven brothers.
