DAVIS, Betty J. Betty entered this world Nov. 30, 1919 and humbly left this world June 22, 2004. She and husband Walt owned and operated Angler's Cafe in Old North Dayton for over thirty years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband August Walter, her mother Elva Lena and her father Walter R. Rentz, her big brother Walter Rentz Jr. and little brother William Rentz, her younger sister, Charlotte Rentz, her sister-in-law Helen Rentz and brother-in-law Cecil Harris. She cared for in this life: her daughters Pat and Sherry Davis, her sisters Phyllis Arnold and Shirley Harris, her brother Charles Rentz and sister-in-law Peggy Rentz and brother-in-law Donald Arnold who will lovingly remember her for all of their days. She met many caring friends at Maria-Joseph in her final years -- special thanks to Mary Ann, Dan, Mary, Carolyn, Judy and The Vegetable Man. Betty has entered her new life with her best buddy Charles Reid. May God bless them both. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the Maria-Joseph Living Care Center Chapel. Pastor Douglas N. Jacobs will officiate. Betty's final resting place will be at Shiloh Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 3 - 5:00 p.m., Sunday at Baker/Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. and from 1 - 2:00 p.m., Monday at the Maria-Joseph LCC Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that memorial contributions be made in memory of Betty to the Mammography Unit of the Heart & Cancer Wellness Foundation of the Miami Valley, West Medical Plaza, 1 Elizabeth Place, Ste 110, Dayton, Ohio 45408-9901.
