Bonnie Lynn Gilchrist, 63, a resident of Leavenworth, passed away on May 8, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer.

Bonnie was born at Moscow, ID to John Kuehner and Melba (Scoville) Kuehner on December 16, 1944. She was raised in Palouse and graduated as Salutatorian from Palouse High School in 1963.

She received a BA in Business from Washington State University in 1967.

On October 18, 1976, she married Robert "Bob" Gilchrist at Colfax, WA. Bonnie and Bob lived in Colfax and Lewiston, ID, before settling in Leavenworth in 2005.

Bonnie was an active member of Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed singing in the church choir, participating in the women's ministry team and acting as secretary of the Sunday school.

She held bookkeeping and accounting positions for many years and became a certified financial advisor for Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors in 1996.

She was also an active member of the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce and the Leavenworth Women's Exchange.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Graveside Services and Burial will be held at the Colfax Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in Bonnie's name, may be made to the Upper Valley Christian School at 111 Ski Hill Drive, Leavenworth, WA 98826.
