Funeral services were held for Thomas Jefferson Cantrell, 92, Wednesday afternoon, February 20, at the Burke-Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Rich, pastor of the Baptist church at Clayton, officiating Burial was in the Lutie Cemetery.
Cantrell was a retired coal miner and had been a resident of Wilburton for many years. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife Nora; one daughter, Mrs. Estie Burroughts, Oklahoma City, one son Walter Cantrell Carlsbad, New Mexico; one step-son, J.L. Nash, Sweetwater, Texas, one sister Mrs. Pearl Davis, Bromide, and eleven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hughie Boyd, Ray Rogers, Roy Smith, Bill Dollins, Wayne Russell, Clyde Wooldridge, Jim Wright, Arthur Dill, I.H. Tate, Clarence Roy, and Claude Martin.
