Lorenzo Ransom "Ran" Tesh was the son of John and Emma Reich Tesh; husband of Charity Elizabeth Petree Tesh. He is buried beside his brother, Edward.

His sons Hoke and Emory were placed in the Masonic Children's Home in Oxford, NC called the Oxford Children's home. Hoke was transferred back to Thomasville per the census records.
Their uncle, Charity's brother, John Petree of Thomasville was heavily involved in the Baptist Church and he was a Mason. Charity later remarried to a James Robertson and they had one son, James Robertson, Jr.
