Lorenzo Ransom "Ran" Tesh was the son of John and Emma Reich Tesh; husband of Charity Elizabeth Petree Tesh. He is buried beside his brother, Edward.

Charity is buried at the Marvin Chapel Methodist (per her obituary).

Story goes that he was killed in a buggy accident, leaving a widow and several children; Oscar, Emory, Martha, Sarah "Sallie" Flynt Tesh, Hoke, Odessa P., and Dora (Dorothy). I think Charity was pregnant with Dorothy when he died. Most of them were eventually put into the Baptist Children's Home in Thomasville, NC. His sons Hoke and Emory were placed in the Masonic Children's Home in Oxford, NC called the Oxford Children's home. Hoke was transferred back to Thomasville per the census records.

Their uncle, Charity's brother, John Petree of Thomasville was heavily involved in the Baptist Church and he was a Mason. Charity later remarried to a James Robertson and they had one son, James Robertson, Jr.
