Willowton, WV: Hubert Clarence Stalvey, Jr. age 79 of Willowton, WV entered into the beautiful gates of his eternal rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Born January 28, 1931 at Hahira, GA he was the son of the late Hubert C., Sr. and Clennace Weldon Stalvey. Hubert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 32 years, Sylvia Arnold Stalvey, one daughter, Debra Stalvey Passmore and husband Kenneth of Powhatan, VA, one son, Charles Hubert Stalvey and wife Regina of Chesterfield, VA, four grandchildren, Amanda Passmore Brock and husband Ira, Justin Passmore, Chelsea Stalvey, and Sean Hubert Stalvey; one great granddaughter, Mackenzie Brock; one sister, Jaunelle Mann and husband Pete of Kingsland, GA., one brother, Tommy Stalvey and wife Vickie of Hoboken, GA, a special friend of the family, Ruth Peregory of Richmond, VA, and his hospice caregiver, Crystal Parks.Hubert was an active member of the Willowton Christian Church. He was a graduate of Glynn Academy in Brunswick, GA. He served his country with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was retired from BHA Group in Folkston, GA.Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM , Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Willowton Christian Church, Willowton, WV with Ministers David Stauffer and Michael Robertson officiating. Burial will follow with military honors performed by the WV Honor Guard, in the Willowton Community Cemetery. Grandsons Justin Passmore, Sean Stalvey and nephews, Michael and Keith Stalvey, Timmy Mann and Kevin Cottle will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services, Friday, March 26, 2010 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Willowton Community Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society.
