Mary Ruth (Hensley) Philpot Bentley, age 72, of Reams Street, London, passed away Sunday at Saint Joseph London Hospital. She was the mother of Katherine Cole of Lily, Kentucky, Bonnie Lou Philpot, Joyce Ann Philpot, Lonnie C. Philpot, Donnie Lee Philpot, and John Dale Philpot all of London, Ronald Ray Philpot of Corbin, Kentucky, and Crystal Catron of Berea, Kentucky. The sister of Sarah Dees, Lillie Garland, and Rita Faye Hammons all of London, and Minnie Hampton of Myakka, Florida. She was grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and great grandmother of eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bentley; her parents, Fieldon and Stella (Baker) Hensley; by two sisters, Eudell Hammons and Hannah Bowling; by one brother, William "Bill" Hensley. Funeral services for Mary Ruth (Hensley) Philpot Bentley will be conducted Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Jared Guillion, Cecil Benge, and John Dale Philpot officiating. Burial will follow at Wyatt Chapel Cemetery. The family of Mary Ruth (Hensley) Philpot Bentley will receive friends at London Funeral Home after 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
