He was born in Draper, attended First Baptist Church of Draper, was a WWII Army veteran and awarded the Bronze Star. He retired from Fieldcrest Mills and a shop stewart with local AFL-CIO Union.
He is survived by his sons, Joseph ``Joe'' Holliman III of Chapel Hill; Charles Holliman of Hall River; daughter, Edna H. Brown of Eden; brothers, Bobby Holliman of Eden; Clayton Holliman of Rock Hill; half-sister, Mildred Fender of Illinois and grandson, Brice Holliman.
