Mr. Tony Richard Craven, 64, of Crosspointe Lane, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point after a courageous five year battle with cancer. He was born November 18, 1948 in Davidson County to the late Samuel Lewis and Mildred Sink Craven. Tony was a Project Clarifier for VP Buildings in Greensboro. Mr. Craven will lie-in-state at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM today, Monday, September 30, 2013. Family and friends may visit and pay their respect during these hours. Interment will follow Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Forsyth Memorial Park. There will be no formal services. The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262, Humane Society of Forsyth County, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104, or to the SPCA of the Triad, 3163 Hines Chapel Road, Greensboro, NC 27405.
