Doris Irene Glass, 94 of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, in Blountstown. Doris was born October 14, 1929, in Live Oak, Florida to the late Samuel and Mardell Davis. A hairdresser by trade, she lived in Blountstown since 1958 and assisted her husband James in managing their plant nursery. She was a member of Christian Home Church in Blountstown. Painting was a true passion for her, and she also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her husband James; her brothers, Roscoe, Wendell and Thurman Davis as well as her sister, Ozelle Hill. Survivors include her son and daughter in law of Chattahoochee; her daughter and son in law of Blountstown; her brother of Live Oak; her sister of Live Oak; her 10 grandchildren; her 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Services to honor Doris' life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Nettle Ridge Cemetery. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at adamsfh.com.
