She was born on February 21, 1939 in Knox, IN to the late Martin and Martha (Eckert) Coffin.
Donna graduated from Reynolds High School in 1957 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
She was a proud veteran of the Marines and was honorably discharged in 1960 as a corporal.
On August 28, 1959, she married Abel Dexter Pierson in Cherry Point, NC and they later divorced on March 27, 1963. On April 7, 1963, she married Roy Elmer Gokey and they later divorced on August 6, 1979. On July 4, 1987, she married Charles B. Adams Sr and he later passed on May 14, 1999.
Donna worked was District Supervisor of Operations for United States Post Office for 37 years.
She was a proactive member of First Christian Church where she attended services, assisted with funeral dinners and was active in the CWF- Christian Women's Fellowship.
She was also a member of the 40/8 Voiture and the American Legion Post 11 where she was awarded Marine of the Year.
Donna most enjoyed doing things for others to include cooking, making blankets and any craft needed.
Surviving are one daughter; one brother; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sjoblom; brother-in-law, Michael Sjoblom; son, Karl Pierson; and great-grandson, Andrew L. Vega Jr.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, followed by service at 11:30 AM. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
