He was known to the family as Uncle Jake. A mail letter carrier in Pierce County, Eatonville area in 1910 along with his nephew Louis. They delivered mail in horse drawn wagons, as in the photo.
His sister Alice & husband Sam Haudenschild, immigrated to British Columbia Canada in the summer of 1910.
Jake (Jack) & Louis followed living in Atlin in 1911. In 1921 the Canada census listed him as Jack Bonner, farmer, living with Alice, Sam & Louis.
Alice, died in 1939 and for awhile he stayed and farmed with his brother-in-law. He left after a time for Vancouver, BC, where he died and was buried as Jack Bonner.
