Wayne Westmoreland
Wayne A Westmoreland, 57, of 529 Williams Road, died Friday at Natividad Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
A native of Courtney, Oklahoma., he had worked in produce for many years. He was active in the American Little League for 20 years, working in finance and promotions for the organization. He was a member of the Apostolic Church in Jesus' Name of Salinas. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Westmoreland of the family home; three daughters, Margaret Cruson of Roseberg, Ore., Diana Sue Renshaw of Yucaipa, and Audrey Charlene Ogden of Klawock, Alaska; a son, Joe W. Westmoreland of Sutherlin, Ore. Also surviving are five sisters, Eula Davison and Ruby Durham, both of Bakersfield; Edith Brandon of Modesto; Katherine Harvick of Vallejo; and Bernice Savage of Rattliff, Okla ; a brother, A C. Westmoreland of Kelseyville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Healey Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Jack Horning and the Rev. Kenneth Wilkerson, both of the Pentacostal Churches of God, will officiate.
Private burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to the American Little League or to the Apostolic Church in Jesus' Name.
