In loving memory of Mark Trevor Byers, age 57, peacefully joined his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 1, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1966 to parents Ottis and Janet Byers. Mark was a distinguished graduate of the University of Arkansas, earning Phi Beta Kappa honors in 1995. Devoting over 25 years to education, he passionately taught Latin at high schools in Rogers and Fort Smith, AR, in addition to building curriculum for the Latin program at Virtual Arkansas. Mark's impact extended beyond the classroom, leaving an indelible mark on countless students. He was also an active member of the Fort Smith Lions Club, where his commitment to service and community further exemplified his generous spirit.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Byers; children, Jamie Walling and husband, Seth, Chris Byers and wife, Amanda, Jennifer Byers and John-Michael; six grandchildren, Rayder Broberg, Rian and Chandler Walling, Graham, Layla and Reagan Byers; parents, Ottis and Janet Byers of Crockett; brother, Chad Byers of Crockett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joe and Alpha Lowrie of Greenwood, AR; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who shared in his warmth and kindness.

Funeral services for Mark Trevor Byers will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the McAdams Chapel in Huntsville, TX. Interment to follow at McAdams Cemetery (1251 FM 1696, Huntsville, TX 77320). Visitation be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
