David Eugene Orr, 54, passed away on December 30, 2023 in Yorktown, IN.
He was born in Hopkinsville, KY on November 29, 1969 to Richard "Butch" E. Orr and Eugenia May (Adkins) Orr. His mom passed away on April 10, 1989.
David graduated from Blackford High School in 1988. He worked at Tomken Plastic Technologies in Muncie. He usually wore a smile, was quiet and had a heart of gold. He liked to joke around and tried to make others laugh with his funny shenanigans. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working on cars.
He will be sadly missed by his dad, Richard "Butch" E. Orr of Hartford City; fiancé, Naomi Castor of Yorktown; Naomi's children, Shelby Castor and Darren Castor; brother, Robert H. Orr (companion, Lauren Kelly) of Hartford City; sisters, Christina S. (husband, Tim) Manor of Portland and Sandra L. Orr of Fishers; step-brother, Michael A. (wife, Robin) Khayyata of Arlington Heights, IL; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mom and step-mom, Marian L. Orr.
Funeral service will be at 11 am Friday, January 5, 2024 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City with Pastor Steve Lakie officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, January 4, 2024 and from 10 to 11 am Friday, January 5, 2024 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
