The VDK say "Rudolf Rennig was probably transferred to the Bartossen / Bartosze war cemetery as an unknown soldier.
Unfortunately, during the reburial work from his original grave location, not all of the German dead could be recovered and transferred to the Bartossen / Bartosze cemetery. However, there is a possibility that Rudolf Rennig is one of the German soldiers whose remains were recovered but, despite all efforts, could not be identified".
