Theodore J. Adams Jr.
June 6, 1949 - November 30, 2023

Theodore J. "Ted" Adams Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Wyoming on November 30, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Ted was preceded in death by his father, Theodore J. Adams Sr., his mother, Susan N. Adams (nee Jones), to whom he was especially dedicated. Ted's brother, Ernest Adams, also preceded him in death. Ted is survived by his uncle, Sandy Jones, his niece, Cynthia McDonald and nephew Andre Adams (Leigh Heggie Adams). He also leaves behind many devoted friends.

Ted was born in Cincinnati on June 6, 1949. He graduated from Hughes High School, then attended the Ohio State University. He worked at the Hilton-Davis Chemical Company as a chemical technician, then later at the Procter & Gamble Company. During his years at P&G, Ted attended the University of Cincinnati Evening College, where he completed his B.S. degree in Chemistry. He later earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Information Systems, from Xavier University. Ted retired from P&G in 2013, after 31 years of service.

Ted was physically active for all his adult life and never met a workout he didn't like. He was a serious weight-lifter, and in the martial arts, he achieved a Fourth-Degree designation in Bujinkan Ninjitsu. He had many close friends from these disciplines. Ted also was an excellent tennis player and an informal coach to friends. In retirement, Ted was able to pursue his passion for photography and even combine that with his love of tennis, taking photos at the Western & Southern Open Tournament over many years. He also loved photographing animals at the Cincinnati Zoo, where he captured many striking images, and he took many beautiful photos of local landscapes such as Spring Grove Cemetery.

Ted had a sharp sense of humor and a deep sense of loyalty to his friends. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to his in-home caregivers, who helped to make living at home possible during his illness, and to Hospice of Cincinnati for their help and compassionate care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 6 at Walker Funeral Home, 3939 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45229. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. followed by a brief reception onsite. Memorial donations may be made to the Cincinnati Zoo or Hospice of Cincinnati.
